The Three Legs of Whole Body Health Part 1

Whole Body Health is composed of three distinct legs.  Today, I will discuss the first one: Thinking Well.

1) Thinking Well

Somebody died today because of the information that they didn’t know.  You won’t change the way you act unless you change the way you think.  People don’t act on what I say, they act on what they hear.  Pay attention!  Clarity empowers people and confusion paralyzes people.

Knowledge is power and that power stems from education.

There is nothing more devastating than having false beliefs about the source of health and illness.  There is nothing more powerful than learning the truth about the source of health and illness.

Some Fundamental Truths:
  • Most of us are living far below our optimal health, fitness, performance, longevity and contributory potential
  • Drugs do not gauge or measure health, they measure biochemistry.  But, do altered biochemistry markers really mean that you are well/healthy?
  • Health is defined by the function of your cells and not by the state of disease.
  • When you were born, your body knew exactly what to do to keep you healthy. And it still does! It knows, how fast your heart should beat, how often your lungs should breathe, how you should digest your food, and a million other things.
  • Becoming healthier is a choice.
You are told as you get older you get osteoporosis, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, arthritis, etc and nobody ever questions it. The human genome has not changed.  It is the environment in which we bathe those genes in that has changed.  Nutritional deficiency and increased toxicity is what is killing people in this country.
Instead of managing a disease, I teach people how to get and be well.  This is the power of education and the importance of Thinking Well.
